The first Parents’ Day at The Citadel was held in 1934. Today it is one of the college’s four major weekends. The others are Homecoming in November, Corps Days – the birthday celebration of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets – in March and Graduation Weekend in May.  Although it has been traditionally called "Parents' Weekend" it is truly a time for the entire family to come and enjoy spending time with their cadet.

Parents’ Weekend features traditional events like the military dress parade, open barracks and performances by the Regimental Band and Pipes. But the highlights of the weekend are the Company Letter ceremony for the freshmen cadets and the presentation of class rings to the First Class (senior) cadets.  Click here to view the detailed schedule and the "Register" button below to purchase your shirts, totes and meals!

Hopefully you have seen the posts on the Portal and had time to review the more detailed pages on The Citadel's webpage.  The key to an enjoyable weekend is agreeing on a plan with your cadet.  This site is to help you plan and order your lunch on Saturday and, if you like, to purchase a commemorative Parents' Day T-Shirts and Tote bags.  You can place your order in the section below, but before doing so, we recommend reviewing the details on the planning sheet which you can find by Clicking Here.

The shirts, totes and meals go fast, so I wouldn't wait too long to place your order.  Deadline for ordering T-Shirts, Totebags and Saturday's meals is midnight 14 September.  No refunds after the 14th.  

Note, a non-refundable $3 service charge per transaction is charged for use of the platform so try to make one purchase.  Taxes have been included in the cost of the item.  When you click on the "Submit" button, you will go to the payment page.  If you do need to add to your order at a later time, there is a link at the bottom of your registration page that when clicked, will take you to a new page to add items in a new order. 

Shirts and Tote bags will be available for pickup on Friday (9AM-1PM) and Saturday (7AM-1PM) on the second floor of Mark Clark Hall. It is fine for your cadet to come over and pick them up if you can't make those times.  More information on pickup and how to get to your meals will be provided the week of the 22nd.

Before submitting your order, make sure it is correct.  I can't promise I will be able to trade to another shirt size or meal location.
