This is a great way to commemorate two important days in the life of your cadet. Both coins have a space on the back to engrave their name or a meaningful phrase to your cadet.
The link will close on November 17th - recommend ordering your coins today instead of waiting and missing the deadline. The deadline is designed to have the coin to you by the beginning of March so you can have the engraving done.
CFA will order some extras to sell on Rec Day, but you won't have time to get the engraving done in time for recognition.
A couple of observations from past years:
1) I have a lot of challenge coins from being in the military and I think these are nice coins.
2) Cadets balk at getting them because they aren't focused that far out. They will want them when they see others getting them. Families will want to give them when they see others getting them!
3) Upperclass cadets like getting the coins and giving them to their knobs with a meaningful phrase engraved on the back. You will need to ask your upperclassman if that is something they would like to do.
4) Some families get the graduation coins each year that they frame and give as a gift - coins for all four years. Pretty special.
5) The CFA orders extra coins to sell but they don't want leftovers after the end of the year. Don't take a chance on them not having any left to sell.
